The MGF is a modern classic that marked the return of MG to building proper two-seat sports cars in the mid-1990s. Produced from 1995 to 2002, it combined all the charm of a British roadster with clever engineering, most notably its mid-mounted K-series engine. Placing the engine just behind the seats gives the car superb balance and agility, while still leaving a usable boot for your overnight bags or picnic.

Out on the road the MGF feels nimble and confidence-inspiring, with steering that encourages you to enjoy every bend and Hydragas suspension that soaks up bumps far better than you’d expect from a sports car. It’s very much a driver’s car, but without the harsh ride you might associate with older classics.
